Discover Shine with Jennifer Leigh....
Last week I had a once in a lifetime experience. On a beautiful sunny afternoon I met up with a friend from high school, whom I hadn’t seen in over 12 years, only to discover we speak the same creative language: designing and capturing beauty. I was delighted to find a kindred spirit and become reacquainted. This is surely a start to a fun collaborative friendship.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the wonderfully talented Jennifer Leigh. She fell in love with photography at an early age by way of her father and now enjoys capturing the precious moments in life from baby bumps, births, portraits, special events, and weddings. She established Shine with Jennifer Leigh four years ago while residing on the coast of New Hampshire. Shooting the rugged beauty of the northeast coastline gave her a deep appreciation for natural landscapes, which she continues to incorporate since moving her business to the Hampton Roads region of Virginia.
Here is a teaser of Jennifer’s work for you to enjoy, be sure to peruse her galleries on her site, www.shinewithjl.com.

I am continually amazed by John Walrath’s talent. He captured the simple elegance of Aisha’s bouquet along with posing other arrangements in a creative way. I am truly blessed to have such talented friends. Check out his website at Walrath Photo .
These are pre-wedding images…. stay tuned for images from Aisha and Kamal’s memorable day.
Congratulations Reid & Monika Hooper! Designing for your wedding was a blast. Your choice of mixing fruit in with the flowers for table arrangements became the hit of the night. The bright green limes and apples created a splash of fun beside red gerbera daisies, yellow mums, and blue delphinium, which carried out the jovial theme of your wedding. You guys truly know how to party! Many years of blessing to you both!

A Day in the Country with AleenDesign
I had so much fun doing this photoshoot! It was a beautifully hazy summer morning and the country backdrop was perfect for Karen’s vibrant bouquets. The lovely and joyful Susie was such a delight to photograph! I am so lucky to have such beautiful, talented and creative friends!

This bridal bouquet from Courtney and Ben’s wedding last weekend easily makes my top 10 favorite bouquets list. Her choice of lime green with buttercream yellow make for a striking contrast, but I believe the sunflowers steal the show on this one. The talented John Walrath of walrathphoto.com kindly took these images before the ceremony; thank you John!
Studio Inspiration: Before & After

I fell in love with this quaint floral design studio featured on designsponge.com today. Sara Winward of Honey of a Thousand Flowers, Salt Lake City, UT converted this tiny space into a peaceful and refeshing studio.

Second of show swings to the other end of design with an traditional English Garden theme. Psalm27creative did a fabulous job of capturing the soft romanic lines of these designs. Mary Clark was a gem of a photographer, jumping right in with laying table clothes, positioning accessories, and patiently waiting while I perfected each setting. Thank you Mary Clark for a great experience, I love your creative edge!
Enjoy the stunning pink ranunculus, white hydrangea, white snap dragons, purple lisianthus, ivy, and seeded eucalyptus.

The fantastic Mary Clark of Psalm27Creative and I teamed up to create tablescapes to wet your appetite. First of show, and my personal favorite, displays a modern edge with a nod to the past.
